Robert A. “Bobby” Savoie

Mr. Robert A. “Bobby” Savoie currently serves as the CEO of Altus Technology Systems and as the Managing Partner of Savoie Properties, LLC.  He serves as a Board Member of Longenecker & Associates, Prescient Technologies, LLC., and Aluminum Technologies, Inc. Altus Technology Systems was formed in 2008 to acquire Prescient Technologies and several other firms.  Altus and its subsidiaries will pursue high-tech Information Technology, Nuclear Services, Training and Intelligence work with governmental and commercial clients.  Mr. Savoie is also in the process of completing his doctoral studies in Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University of New Orleans where he serves as the Director of Gulf Coast Economic Reconstitution (post-Katrina and Rita).  

After a 25 year career as an Engineer and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Savoie retired in August, 2004 as CEO of Science & Engineering Associates (SEA) and Vice-Chairman of its parent company, Apogen Technologies. Mr. Savoie founded Integrated Resources Group (IRG) in 1986 and served as CEO until IRG merged with SEA in 1997.  Mr. Savoie became President and the CEO of SEA and guided the company through an extraordinary growth period during which the company transitioned from a small consulting firm to a major federal contractor. Mr. Savoie architected the merger of SEA into Apogen Technologies in January, 2004.  Prior to the merger SEA became a $120 Million per year technology corporation with four subsidiaries and 14 offices in 10 states nationwide. Under Mr. Savoie’s leadership SEA’s revenue grew 700% in the five years preceding the merger. After SEA merged with ITS Services to form Apogen Technologies, Mr. Savoie became Vice-Chairman of the new corporation, which had in excess of $220 million in revenue, while retaining his role as CEO of SEA.

While serving as a CEO of successively larger companies, Mr. Savoie continued his work as an engineer and consultant, primarily in nuclear power and defense.  In that capacity Mr. Savoie served as the General Manager of a 25 company Management and Integration contractor team for the Space and Naval Warfare Information Technology Center in New Orleans, which grew to encompass 1300 people and 1000 IT professionals.  Mr. Savoie also served as a principal consultant to the DOE Office of Nuclear Energy on several programs of national significance including radioisotope production and international nuclear safety. For over ten years Mr. Savoie assisted the Office of Civilian Radioactive Waste Management at the Yucca Mountain Project, the nation’s high level nuclear waste repository.  He served in a consulting capacity at the DOE Hanford Facility, the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant, the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratory, Argonne National Laboratory and Oak Ridge National Laboratory.  Mr. Savoie has facilitated the resolution of issues ranging from the reengineering of military information systems and NASA space systems facilities to medical isotope production, nuclear regulation and non-lethal lasers. 

Mr. Savoie is currently serving or has served as a member of numerous boards and councils including the National D-Day Museum, the Atlantic Council of the United States, the Louisiana Technology Council, the U.S. Small Business Technology Foundation, the New Orleans Business Council, the Boy Scouts of America, the UNO Research and Technology Council, the Academy of the Sacred Heart, Isidore Newman School and the J. Bennett Johnston Science Foundation.  Mr. Savoie holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from L.S.U., an MBA from Loyola University and has completed post-graduate work in Production/Operations Management, Engineering and Law.  He is married to Lori Kent Savoie, formerly of Houston Texas. The Savoies reside in New Orleans, Louisiana with their three children, Mallory (20), Matthew (17) and William (12).
