Stennis Space Center, MS –July 2, 2008 – Diamond Data Systems Receives Letter of Appreciation from Navy Command, CNMOC

Diamond Data Systems, Inc. (DDS) announced today that it has received a Letter of Appreciation from the Commander, Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command (CNMOC), Stennis Space Center, MS, for its recent work in accelerating a Jun 1, 2008 Initial Operating Capability (IOC) of the Naval Oceanographic Portal (NOP) on the Navy’s secure network. NOP is a web-based application that provides critical, real-time oceanographic and atmospheric data to US and allied warfighters world-wide. The NOP was originally planned to be placed in operation in November, 2008 but the Navy decided to bring the new system on-line five months early. DDS team members worked many nights and weekends to meet the Navy’s new accelerated schedule.

Rear Admiral David W. Titley, CNMOC Commander who sent the letter, said of the DDS team who spearheaded the accelerated implementation, “Their collective service to the Command can be summed up in one word – exemplary!"

Keith Alphonso, DDS Federal Sector Director and manager of the DDS office at Stennis where the work was performed, and himself one of the recognized team members, said, “I would like to extend a kudos to Paul Williams and Brian Danos for their hard work on this project.  Their commitment is recognized not only by us, but by our customers. Outstanding job”!
