NORLI Graduates Class of 2007
NEW ORLEANS — Greater New Orleans Inc. has honored 33 business, civic and community leaders from the 10-parish region for completing the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute.
NORLI graduates represent all races, genders, industries and communities in the region. The class examines the greater New Orleans’s government, education, work force development, regional collaboration, race relations, crime, public safety, leadership, culture, transportation and infrastructure with a focus on how these issues affect economic development and relate to the quality of life of our region.
“NORLI is the most intense and comprehensive education on our region and leadership program that I have ever come in contact with. If this had been available 20 years ago, I would have been better rounded as I pursued my career,” said Dr. Myron Moorehead of Women’s Laser Institute and a 2007 NORLI graduate.
“Through collaboration with peers, participants enhance their skills in negotiation and coalition building,” said Nicole Palmer, NORLI program director. “Most importantly, they expand their leadership abilities through a deeper understanding of themselves and others.”
