Diamond Data Systems, Inc. awarded option year on U.S. Navy contract for Inventory Tracking System utilizing RFID technologies. 

New Orleans – August, 2006 – In July, 2006, the U.S. Navy announced that DDS was awarded its first option year for a 5 year contract to continue the development and deployment of the Base Level Inventory Tracking System (BLITS).

“BLITS is a customizable tracking system for delivery and repair of parts. The additional funding allows BLITS to integrate emerging technologies such as Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) data collection, Wireless LAN connectivity, and Common Access Card Technologies for secured login. All of these technologies are of particular interest to the US Navy and DoD. We also can expand the user base to additional activities, improve the User experience, and integrate with other Navy or DoD application systems.” said Keith Alphonso, DDS Federal Director over the project.
